WeddingMBA

On September 14-17th I had the pleasure of attending the WeddingMBA with my brother and business partner.

Dustin and I

I want to start out by saying, I was not really sure what to expect. I knew there was going to be many great speakers in attendance and tons and tons of wedding professionals. Yet I had no idea how beneficial the conference was going to be until after day 1. We were not only attendees of the conference as wedding professionals in the photo booth rental market but we were also vendors.

Digital Centre America is a company that we have had the pleasure of working with for many years now. They design, manufacture and bring so much innovation to the industry. They have been in business for over 18 years and are located in 45 different countries. We are happy that we are able to be a part of this company and sale these amazing products to other professionals in the wedding industry.

Photo Booth Fun

While in attendance we had the opportunity to listen to some great speakers who were very knowledgeable about the industry. Andy Ebon gave a wonderful seminar about Social Media Detox

@AndyEbon

Andy touched on some great points such as; couples are communicating via social media and that it is important for our business to be responding to clients quicker than we ever have in the past and that it is important to be on several social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest etc.

One of the greatest pieces of advance when it came to posting on social media for me was “Always post on the same day around the same time.” This really hit home and made so much sense. If you are following someone and enjoy looking at their post and you know on Saturdays at 6:00pm they always post you are going to go and visit there social media site just to see their new and updated post. Another thing that Andy touched on was “Less is More” Sometimes if we post to much we are almost spamming our social media sites. Keep this in mind next time you decided to post. Think before the post.

Wedding MBA had a lot of information to offer and we will be sharing much more as the months go on. Yet if I had to take always one thing from the conference it was to learn about your client. Listen to their needs and then developer.
